艺达思光学帮助美国科学家实现聚变点火

几十年来,物理学家一直致力于利用核聚变 – 恒星的能量来源 – 制造大量的清洁能源。本周,美国能源部(DOE)及其 NNSA 宣布,已在劳伦斯·利弗莫尔国家实验室(LLNL)实现聚变点火。聚变反应堆产生的能量大于了触发反应的能量。

这一重大的科学里程碑是在艺达思光学的重大技术支持下实现的,艺达思光学为支持美国国家点火设施(NIF)项目提供了 20 多年的 LLNL 组件。

艺达思光学技术的组件包括窗口、镜子、透镜、滤光片和其他小型光学器件,它们能够独特地处理所使用的种子激光器的脉冲功率。IDEX 光学系统被用于调节、成形和控制种子激光束,从而使融合成为可能此外,IDEX 还提供了客制化的更大的光学系统,支持各种计量工具,用于研究腔(点火舱)中激光的注量,提高了对高能等离子体物理的理解。IDEX 能够利用在支持NIF过程中开发的能力和制造流程,以改进我们为各种行业提供的产品和服务,包括半导体计量和检验、激光和遥感。

艺达思光学包括 CVI Laser Optics、CVI 红外光学和薄膜、Semrock 滤光片、Melles Griot 激光器 & 光学系统、Advanced Thin Films等。
