IDEX 生命科学光学支持 AutismUp

教自闭症患者如何骑自行车

从7月开始,IDEX 生命科学光学志愿者参加了 AutismUp 的第 12 届自行车训练营周。据营地协调员贝拉·庞蒂塞洛(Bella Ponticelo)介绍,大多数参与者从骑过山车开始,并在五天内学会如何骑传统自行车。对于 40 名参与者来说,这可能是一次情感体验,正如庞蒂塞洛所说:“父母和孩子们的眼中充满了喜悦的泪水,他们非常兴奋。昨天我们有人站起来,非常紧张,他们开始哭泣,跑到妈妈面前说,‘我做到了,妈妈,我做到了’,这真的非常不可思议。” [i]

第九届年度筹款风筝飞行志愿者活动

8 月中旬,志愿者们支持了 AutismUp 在海风游乐园举办的第九届年度筹款风筝飞行活动:这一活动旨在“帮助自闭症患者的家庭;与家人和朋友一起为自闭症患者提供支持之旅;一起参加风筝活动并庆祝的机会。”[ii]

志愿者为AutismUp社区填充了500个感官袋

近期,IDEX 生命科学光学公司(Life Science Optics)的员工在 500 个感官袋中塞满了专门挑选的物品,这些物品旨在帮助受助者平静下来并调整自己的方向。这些包将与他们的计划一起分发给社区自闭症儿童,包括:

  • 1 个 Pop-it 铅笔盒或模糊青色标记袋(分为 500 个袋)
  • 2 个拉链手链
  • 2 个大理石小提琴
  • 2 个弹出管
  • 1 个压力球
  • 1 个椅子带
  • 1 计时器
